Graves are available for purchase at St. Joseph Cemetery on both pre-need and at-need
basis. There is an excellent selection of single grave lots (burial for two) and multiple
grave lots in the main cemetery and in the St. James the Apostle section. If you are
interested in purchasing a grave, please contact our office to arrange a convenient
appointment. Interment options at St. Joseph Cemetery include traditional
below-ground burial, below-ground in lawn crypts, below-ground burial of cremated remains
in family graves, and below-ground burial of cremated remains in our cremains garden
adjacent to Maguire Chapel.
Perpetual care of each grave is included in the purchase
price and is provided by the Association. Perpetual care consists of cutting the grass,
raking and cleaning the grounds, and pruning and maintenance of the shrubs and trees which
have been planted by the Association. The planting of shrubs and trees, as well as
placement of brick or stone enclosures, fences and ornaments at the gravesites is
prohibited.
Monuments may be erected in accordance with the
Associations regulations, which are designed to enhance the beauty of the
cemeteries. Local monument dealers are familiar with our requirements and would be able to
explain the guidelines for a particular grave. Monument inscriptions are also provided
through a monument dealer. The Association requires a permit signed by the lot owner or
his/her heirs for all installations of monuments or inscriptions.
As an additional service for our lot owners and family
members, we have instituted a monument cleaning program at Holyhood and St. Joseph
Cemeteries.
